What You’ll Need For Algo Trading with SMC​
AlgoTest Account​
You need to have an AlgoTest account. If you don’t have an AlgoTest account, you can create it by clicking on this link.
SMC Account​
You need to have a Demat account with SMC. If you don't have an account, create an account on SMC here. Make sure to activate F&O on your account.
Connecting SMC with AlgoTest​
Go to AlgoTest, login to your account. Click on the Broker Setup at the top right.
You’ll see a dashboard as shown below. Put "SMC” in the search bar.
You will see the option to set up “SMC” as shown in the image. Click on the setup.
You will be directed to the page shown in the image below. Now, add the connection name, client Id, API Key and API Secret.
Steps to find API Key:​
- Please to go to https://webtrade.smctradeonline.com/login and login to your account
- Click “Create an APP”
- Enter App Name as "AlgoTest"
- When creating the app, Copy and paste this url as your Redirect URL: https://algotest.in/confirm_broker/smc/686794e5b6b91aa39b34882d
- Leave the Postback as blank
- Enter your Client ID here
- Copy the API Key and Secret Key and paste them above
Once you are done, click on Setup.
You have successfully added SMC broker to your AlgoTest Account.
Note: Multi-API is supported.​

Yes, API trading is available for AlgoTest integration upon request.
2. Are all segments supported via AlgoTest?
Equity, intraday, and F&O segments are supported.
3. Is any documentation required to activate APIs?
Yes, you may need to fill out a consent form and complete KYC verification with SMC.
4. Can I use AlgoTest with my existing SMC Demat?
Yes, as long as your account is enabled for API trading.
