What You’ll Need For Algo Trading with MStocks​

AlgoTest Account​

You need to have an AlgoTest account. If you don’t have an AlgoTest account, you can create it by clicking on this link.

MStocks Account​

You need to have a Demat account with MStocks. If you don't have an account, create an account on MStocks here. Make sure to activate F&O on your account.

Connecting MStocks with AlgoTest​

Go to AlgoTest, login to your account. Click on the Broker Setup at the top right.

You’ll see a dashboard as shown below. Put "MStocks” in the search bar.

You will see the option to set up “MStocks” as shown in the image. Click on the setup.

You will be directed to the page shown in the image below. Now, add the connection name, client Id and API key.

Steps to find the API Key:​

  • Login to trade.mstock.com
  • Expand sidebar from top left near the broker logo, and click on "Trading APIs"
  • Click on "Generate New API Key"
  • Enter Application Name as AlgoTest.
  • Choose API Type as "B"
  • Keep the validity as 1 year and click on Submit.
  • Enter your API Key and Client ID in the fields above.

Once you are done, click on Setup.

You have successfully added MStocks broker to your AlgoTest Account.
