Auto Activation for MCX

Auto Activation deploys your MCX portfolio automatically on each scheduled trading day, so you don't have to activate it by hand.

Auto Activation for MCX works the same way as for NSE and BSE portfolios. For setup steps, scheduling modes, and conditions, see the main Auto Activation documentation. This page covers only what's different for MCX.

What's different for MCX

You need the MCX add-on. Auto Activation can't deploy an MCX strategy without an active MCX plan.

Live portfolios need Zerodha. Live MCX execution is available on Zerodha only, so log in to Zerodha before the activation time.

DTE scheduling uses monthly expiries. MCX has monthly expiries only, so DTE (Days to Expiry) counts down to a monthly expiry, not a weekly one. For option legs, that's the option expiry, which falls a few days before the futures expiry.

MCX trades Monday to Friday. Weekends aren't MCX trading days, so scheduling on Days (Mon–Fri) covers every MCX session.

tip

If your portfolio mixes MCX and NSE strategies, all strategies must pass validation for the portfolio to activate. Auto Activation is all-or-nothing.
