Muhurat Trading on AlgoTest

AlgoTest will be fully functional on Muhurat trading day, Sunday, November 8, 2026. You can do algo trading during the Muhurat session just like on any other trading day.

Muhurat session timings​

Note: Indian markets will have a Closing Auction Session (CAS) on Muhurat trading day, just like on regular trading days. Keep this in mind when setting your exit times.

How to activate 920 Algos in AlgoTest on Muhurat trading day​

Auto Activation and Auto Restart will not work on Muhurat trading day. You'll need to activate or restart your strategies manually.

Broker login and strategy activation work the same as on any other day: log in to your broker from AlgoTest after 8:00 AM, then activate your strategy. The only change is that your strategy's entry and exit times must fall inside the Muhurat session. If either time is outside the session, the strategy can't be activated.

Example: Your intraday algo normally enters at 9:20 AM and exits at 3:10 PM. On Muhurat day:

  1. Log in to your broker from AlgoTest any time after 8:00 AM.

  2. Change the entry time to 2:25 PM and keep the exit at 3:10 PM (before the 3:15 PM CAS start).

  3. Activate the strategy manually.

BTST and positional strategies: Strategies activated on Friday will stay paused. To resume one, click Restart and it moves to running; this is optional. If you are activating your BTST positional strategies on Friday, You can also choose Muhurat day as the exit day

What won't work on Muhurat trading day​

  • Signals AI  Strategy execution will not work in the Muhurat trading session. (crypto execution via Signals AI will still work and Normal Signals where Tradingview is used will work fine)

  • Charts across the platform, including Strategy Builder and Simulator

  • Muhurat session data in Simulator and 920 Backtester will not be available.

  • RA Algos activation. 

  • 920 Sharables activation

Crypto trading across AlgoTest is not affected.
